Dynast Diva Dame Joan Collins sells home for $2 million.

Gene Simmons New Home (Zillow)

Kiss singer Gene Simmons has bought a new home in Las Vegas for $8.2 million. According to the NY Post he will be moving there with his wife, former Penthouse model and actress Shannon Tweed. The house is located in the desert of Henderson, Nevada and reportedly has 11,000 square feet. The Las Vegas Review Journal, however, reports that he paid a combined $10.8 million for the house and an adjacent lot.

The Review Journal cited Clark County records which show the buyer as Goodman Realty LLC with an address in New Jersey, but Las Vegas Realtors confirmed Simmons, who’s been looking at properties in The Ridges in Summerlin and MacDonald Highlands in Henderson, was the buyer. Realtors also told the publication that Simmons bought the lot adjacent to the home to provide additional privacy. County records confirmed Goodman Realty as the buyer at $2.6 million for the .48-acre parcel.

Simmons told the New York Post in March, “We are moving out of LA for a number of reasons. I’m done [with California]. After a certain point, we have had enough of that, even though we appreciate the attention.” he said. “There are earthquakes, fires and pandemics every year. Even though there is nice sunshine, I’m done.” One of the reasons for the move has to do with the high tax rates in the State of California.

In a press release Gene Simmons added, “We have been exploring our primary residence options outside of California for a couple of years. We considered various properties in various states but ultimately decided that Nevada is a better choice for us. We are at a place in our lives where a big city lifestyle is just not our thing anymore.”

His Beverly Hills home is on the market for $25 million.

Meanwhile Dynasty Diva Dame Joan Collins is selling. The 87 year old actress has unloaded her Manhattan apartment located on the eighth floor of 110 E. 57th St. at Park Avenue. It was reportedly listed for $2 million. The co-op apartment has three bedrooms, three bathroom, and 1,900 square feet of space. .

According to the listing the apartment offers three exposures, an open living and dining room area, space for a home office and 16 closets.
