“This is an important step toward the upcoming opening of the Oracle Israel East Cloud region,” said Uzi Navon, Oracle’s Israel country leader. “With the new Cloud region in the capital city of Israel, Oracle is once again proving its commitment to the State of Israel and to Israeli customers and ensures a second-generation cloud infrastructure with the strongest performance at the highest level of security.”

Eran Feigenbaum, Vice President of Product Development, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, “Many organizations, including government, security and other enterprise organizations that are subject to laws and regulations, find it complicated to migrate to a public cloud because the servers are not located in the country in which they operate. A cloud region located in Israel provides a solution to this challenge, certainly when it comes to a cloud that was built in the first place to meet the most stringent security requirements.” He added: “This cloud region further positions Jerusalem as an important hi-tech city in the startup nation.”

The CEO of Bynet, Alon Ben Zur, said “This is a revolution that will change the way IT services are consumed in Israel. The need to develop cloud services is driven by the understanding that technology is crucial to secure growth and development, as it is the best way to overcome the crisis and enable future growth. The data center extends over 4 floors at a depth of 50 meters below ground level, has a 99.99% availability, provides support and operation services 24/7/365 and is the largest and most secure facility in Israel.”
