Donald Trump Blamed Jared Kushner for Defeat

“’You’re killing me!” Trump told Kushner.

President Trump blamed not only the Coronavirus crisis for his election defeat, but his White House staff as well including the first son-in-law Jared Kushner. This was revealed in a report by The New York Times.

The Corona crisis was blamed by the Trump Administration as the cause for all of America’s recent problems. As such, it, and not the President should have been blamed. It was therefore unfair of the President’s opponents to use the crisis as an issue with which to campaign against him. President Trump’s detractors, however, say that the criticism is about how he handled the crisis and not the emergency itself.

President Trump still thinks that the Coronavirus is a problem that would go away if you only ignore it, like a child who closes his eyes thinking “if I can’t see you then you aren’t there.” The President famously blamed spikes in Covid-19 cases on increased testing. Of course, those who tested positive were infected already regardless of testing and the positive test results allowed authorities to isolate those infected to help slow the spread of the infection.

“You’re killing me! This whole thing is! We’ve got all the damn cases. I want to do what Mexico does,” he said at one point. “They don’t give you a test till you get to the emergency room and you’re vomiting.”

President Trump has been widely criticized for making the whole Corona crisis about himself. The President has claimed that he would have won reelection if it were not for the pandemic.

During preparations for a debate against Joe Biden, Donald Trump is reported to have said to Jared Kushner, “I’m going to lose and it’s going to be your fault, because of the testing.”

As for the professional medical experts who would not allow politics to change their fact based positions on what the best way to handle the pandemic should be, Mr. Trump had nothing but disdain, accusing them of being against him. “They’re Democrats! They’re against me!” he reportedly said.
