Geraldo Rivera Absurdly Calls for Covid Vaccine to Be Named for Donald Trump

And so Geraldo Rivera was rightfully mocked by… everyone!

Geraldo Rivera is so much in love with his BFF Donald Trump that he believes anything that the President says. This includes President Trump’s recently taking credit for the development of a Corona Virus vaccine.

To express his commitment to his bromance with the President, the onetime serious journalist Rivera accepted President Trump’s claims that his “Operation War Speed” led to the creation of a Covid-19 vaccine. The President made this claim in spite of the fact that the pharmaceutical company Pfizer has denied that the White House had any involvement in its work.

This came in addition to sycophantic Tweets made by Rivera which constantly praise Donald Trump.

So when speaking about the release of the new Covid-19 vaccines on the Fox and Friends program on Friday Geraldo Rivera for some reason gave all the credit to President Trump for their creation.

“With the world so divided and everyone telling me, ‘He’s gotta give up’ and ‘Time to leave’ – why not name the vaccine ‘the Trump?’ You know, make it like, ‘Have you got your Trump yet?’ ‘I got my Trump, I’m fine.’ I wish we could honor him in that way, because he is definitely the prime architect of this Operation Warp Speed.”

The real television journalists were amused.

CNN’s Erica Hill said that Geraldo Rivera’s comments left her dumbfounded adding that, “when your toddler is having a fit you don’t placate them by giving them something that they want.”

Her guest Anthony Scaramucci lamented such comments by saying that Geraldo and others are unfortunately, “trying to find the Rubik’s Cube combination of appeasing Trump.”

On MSNBC Brian Williams said sarcastically, “You know, Geraldo raises a good point there. It’s possible we just don’t give the president enough credit for his FDR-like devotion to tackling this virus. His laser-like focus, his daily devotion, the sympathy he’s forever expressing to the families of the quarter million dead.”

“Even the way the president lectures us in that way to please wear a mask and stop the spread and he’s always advocated injections. Geraldo may be on to something.”

Brian Williams then added, “What Trump Steaks did for the hungry, what Trump Water did for the thirsty in our nation, what Trump University did to lift up the uneducated in our country, well along comes Trump: The Vaccine. Possibilities, I think you’ll agree, are endless.”

Geraldo Rivera responded to all the criticism on Twitter saying, “See lots of famous full of themselfers losing their shit over my suggestion to nickname the first vaccine the trump. Hahaha.”
