Elvis Presley’s look-alike grandson, 27, found dead Sunday morning from ‘self-inflicted gunshot wound’ in Calabasas mansion, California, according to TMZ.
Benjamin Keough is the son of musician Danny Keough and Lisa Marie. Lisa Marie is the daughter of Priscilla, 75, and Elvis, who married in 1967 and divorced in 1973. Elvis died in 1977 aged 42.
Police said they received a ‘rescue response’ call at about 6:30 am Sunday. “Upon their arrival, they located the victim suffering from one gunshot wound to the upper torso,’ police said. ‘The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Lisa Marie, 51, who has three other children, had previously spoken of her son’s resemblance to her dad Elvis, calling their similarity, ‘uncanny’.
“Ben does look so much like Elvis. Many fans didn’t know that Elvis Presley has a grandson. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny. Sometimes I am overwhelmed when I look at him.”
“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated,” her manager said, “He was the love of her life, but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.” They were so close that they got matching tattoos in 2009. In 2012 she wrote song Storm And Grace about her son.
Benjamin, who was a musician, is reportedly in 2009 has signed a $5 million record deal with Universal.
In an interview at the time he said: “The music will be nothing like Elvis, nothing like him at all.”
according to People Magazine Peter LoFrumento, Executive Vice President of Universal Music Group, said in reponed: “This story is totally untrue.”
In 2015 Benjamin shared a picture of an Elvis outfit he had bought, writing on Instagram: ‘I purchased a piece of grandad today from a collector. He wore it in 1974. I feel a lot closer to him now.’
Lisa Marie and her first husband, Danny Keough, were married 6 years from 1988 to 1994. The couple had two children together, Benjamin (Ben) and his sister, actress Riley Keough.
In 1994, just twenty days after officially divorced from Keough, Lisa Marie married Michael Jackson. The odd couple divorced in 1996 due to ‘irreconcilable differences’.
