aa tel aviv

Following the merger between American Airlines and US Airways in December 2013, the combined airline has been integrating and streamlining its sales teams across a number of countries. As part of this process, the US Airways team in Tel Aviv will take over the sales activities of American Airlines and its GSA in Israel with immediate effect.

Esther Castiel will lead this sales team, supported by Account Managers Ran Pollak and Nany Manneh. Castiel has been instrumental in the growth and success of the US Airways-operated Tel Aviv (TLV) to Philadelphia (PHL) route since its inauguration in 2009. With over 20 years’ experience in the aviation industry, Castiel has been named American Airlines Sales Manager for Israel, having joined US Airways from Air Canada.

“The transatlantic business is highly competitive in Israel and we are perfectly positioned by offering convenient connections through our hub in Philadelphia. Following the merger, our customers now have access to the world’s largest airline with almost 6, 700 daily departures across our combined network operated by a fleet of over 1, 200 aircraft, with two new planes arriving into the fleet every week. I have no doubt that the combination of our competitive pricing, excellent loyalty programme and connecting opportunities will strongly appeal to the Israeli market, ” says Castiel.

American Airlines has one daily departure from Tel Aviv to Philadelphia, operated by US Airways with an A330-200 offering Business Class and Main Cabin.

AA797 departs TLV at 11:30 p.m. arrives PHL 5:20 a.m.

AA796 departs PHL 9:10 p.m. arrives TLV 3:15 p.m.
