In about one week both Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand have spoken out about the conditions in the United States. The way they were is the way they are now! Trump is to blame. Many of these things would not have taken place in America under another Republican. In Northern Virginia anti-Semitism continues as 19 swastikas have defaced a Jewish Temple. Although Trump is not to blame for what happened in Chicago, he has not helped a city that needs help badly as the murder trial of Laquan McDonald has been wrapped up with a guilty verdict against a police officer. America needs Robert Redford to come together to protest louder with press conferences that only a president could expect, except with one press conference that I had in mind several years ago. And Kavanaugh’s appointment after he tried to Fix the Case?

Here’s Robert Redford full statement:

“Tonight, for the first time I can remember, I feel out of place in the country I was born into and the citizenship I’ve loved my whole life. For weeks I’ve watched with sadness as our civil servants have failed us, turning toward bigotry, mean-spiritedness, and mockery as the now-normal tools of the trade.

“How can we expect the next generation to step up and serve, to be interested in public life, and to aspire to get involved when all we show them is how to spar, attack, and destroy each other?

“It’s hard to blame young people for calling us out, and pointing to our conflicts between the values we declare, and those we stand behind only when it’s convenient to partisanship. Many people are rightly calling it a damn mess.

“But I want to encourage you to dig deep for hope and civility right now—to try to make connections with people you disagree with, to be better than our politicians.

“We don’t have to share the same motivations to want the same outcomes. Let’s focus on each other, and strengthening our communities, and reflecting on what’s happening. Let’s live in justice and respect and let others fight it out now to the bitter ends.

“This is our country too. Every woman, man, and child in it, our American future.

“We’ve got work to do.”

News from FEAR, Bob Woodward’s new book.

The Trump Corporation credit score was 30 points below the national average in 2016. Bad for borrowing from our banks, but not from Russians. Gary Cohn told Trump that the economy was in okay shape. Automation, huge automation, was coming and that could mean a large loss of jobs.

It seems that at this time, with Trump boasting about creating 25 million jobs during the 2016 campaign that the only jobs now are jobs that cannot be filled because Americans do not have the skills to do them. That will mean more immigrants with the skills coming here which Trump has used effectively to his own advantage at Mar-A-Lago.

This is not good for people still unemployed (3.7 percent). Twenty million jobs have been created since the depression of 2009 and most of them by Obama (probably Trump can claim a couple of million only based on the facts). The dollar seems to be doing so-so and that means that people around the world can buy more from us. Factor that in. And it is almost two years and federal workers have not had a raise after receiving a Trump freeze. Republicans in the Washington Belt district are worried about the elections coming up, because Trump froze wages in a great economy.

Can it be that it was all so simple then

Or has time rewritten every line

If we had the chance to do it all again

Tell me, would we?

Could we?

Streisand and Redford Together!

After meeting Joe Frazier in his gym and then talking to his management, I had the green light to unite Joe with Muhammad Ali in Washington, D. C. to fight for Americans who did not have a G.E.D. The idea failed due to Muhammad Ali’s health condition and to the fact that it is not that easy to get in touch with important people. Joe was accessible. He was in the gym upstairs almost waiting for me without knowing me and knowing that I had a plan for him. But can you imagine the press conference that I dreamed of? Time continues to rewrite every line as we live and work and pray. Although this economy is benefitting more workers than two years ago, it is full of bad decisions that are being corrected as we need to do more than issue a mild protest. Redford says that “we’ve got work to do” and he asks for civility which many people are advocating for. He writes about “the bigotry, mean-spiritedness, and mockery” and I demand that Redford do more. We need greatness now from people who want to change many of the things that have been done since January 20, 2017. The script can be written right now and no movie is needed. We need to change our government fast through We the People.

Memories may be beautiful and yet

What’s too painful to remember

We simply choose to forget

People will largely forget tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year the horrible actions and decisions of the Trump Administration. Then we will be back to another The Way We Were. While reading Bob Woodward’s FEAR again last night, I now know that Trump is not smart at all. As he worked selecting people for his cabinet, he showed little knowledge of economics. To the millions of Americans who tell me and others that the government is printing money and that is bad for us, that was something that Trump anticipated doing just before taking the oath of office. Read Woodward’s book and remember that Redford starred in All the President’s Men as Bob Woodward and Redford bought the rights to that book. My cousin, Joshua Shelley, was in the movie. And one more thing is that Trump while campaigning had no clue about where most of the jobs were going to be created. Gary Cohn set him straight about that, even as Cohn told Trump that we need the immigrants (they do jobs that Americans don’t want to do). Redford is done acting, but is he going to buy the rights to FEAR and play Woodward again in the sequel to finally making America Great? And do I get a bit part in the movie, considering that my cousin passed away about 20 years ago it would be good to have a member of my family in the film? Tell me What Kind of Fool would run for president of the

United States with so little knowledge?

Enough is Enough! I can’t go on, I can’t go on no more no

Enough, is enough, is enough

I want him out, (Trump) I want him out that door

Then there are the Professor Bill Scheuerman revelations that tell us that the F.B.I. has not called back in different situations. I warned everyone in my article Kavanaugh Fixing Case just days ago. See the Scheuerman Interview video. See my article in Jewish Business News.
