8 Israeli companies make WEF’s ‘2018 Technology Pioneers’ list

 

Eight Israeli startups include on the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers cohort of 2018 list, according to the WEF announcement published on Thursday.

The list includes 61 early-stage companies from around the world that WEF said are “pioneering new technologies and innovations”. The Companies were divided into categories that included digital and entertainment, cybersecurity and digital identity, mobility, energy and environment, production, financial system, health, and food security and agriculture.

the innovative inventions ranging from the use of artificial intelligence in drug discovery, the development of autonomous vehicles, advancing cybersecurity and reducing food waste, to applying blockchain to a decentralized engagement platform, the World Economic Forum said on its website.

Among the chosen Israeli companies on the list are:

Water-gen, an Israeli company making the air we breathe into drinkable water at a low cost; mobility startup Innoviz Technologies, a low-cost LiDAR remote sensing solution; Precognize Inc., an Israeli industrial maintenance software developer which was acquired by Samson AG earlier this month;

Utilis which optimizing water distribution system, Vayyar, developer of mobile, low cost 3D imaging sensors for medical use,  MX Cyber, cybersecurity startup founded by former Mossad director, Tamir Pardo; Innoviz Technologies, develops technologies for autonomous driving; Aqua Security, Scan containers images for package vulnerabilities Precognize, Ravcatch and Raycatch, an AI-powered solar energy company.
