Its Anne Frank VS Donald Trump

“Make no mistake, suspending visas for citizens of Middle Eastern and African countries is not called national security. It’s called prejudice.”

Ann Frank Center slams Donald Trump

The Executive Director of the Anne Frank Center, Steven Goldstein, has come out swinging against Donald Trump. He is one of many Jews around the world who see an eerie parallel between President Trump’s immigration policies and his closing the door to America on Arab refugees with the Holocaust.

Jews will never forget how six million were slaughtered as Western democracies like the United States closed their doors to Jewish refugees. People like Anne Frank and her entire family might have survived if they could have found refuge in America or Canada.

So what did Steven Goldstein say? Well he posted a statement on the Anne Frank Center’s Facebook page which read, “As President Trump prepares orders to wall out Mexicans and shut out refugees from America, today marks one of the most hateful days in our nation’s history. Donald Trump is retracting the promise of American freedom to an extent we have not seen from a President since Franklin Roosevelt forced Japanese Americans into internment camps during World War II. Today the Statue of Liberty weeps over President Trump’s discrimination.”

“President Trump is beyond the wrong side of history. He is driving our nation off a moral cliff,” Goldstein added.

Anne Frank Center leader slams Donald Trump

Comparing President Trump’s decision to stop accepting Syrian refugees into America to what was done to Jews like Anne Frank during the Holocaust, Steven Goldstein said, “Make no mistake, suspending visas for citizens of Middle Eastern and African countries is not called national security. It’s called prejudice.”

“Demonizing refugees and immigrants, and spending billions of taxpayer dollars to keep them out of our nation, will go down in American history as one of the most tragic deviations from our national conscience.”

Anne Frank Center leader slams Donald Trump

There are certainly plenty of people who are now going to criticize Steven Goldstein for invoking the name of Anne Frank to attack President Trump? They would say that by comparing the plight of Syrian refugees to the Holocaust, he is in effect calling the President a nazi. But do they have a point?

No! Too many Jews have joined the chorus claiming that all of the Syrians who are just trying to stay alive are somehow guilty of being terrorist ISIS supporters. Or they say that, even if most are not, some surely are so America cannot take any chances.

Well all this sounds too much like what many Americans said about Jews during World War II. They let Jews like Anne Frank die because they feared all those who were behind the Zionist banking conspiracy and because they would take jobs away from hard working Americans.

Sound familiar?
