But is HotIsraeliArmyGirls really just another sexist vehicle for the objectification of women?

The page has almost 80, 0000 followers and you can be sure that almost all of them are men.

Talk about getting the IDF more exposure on social media!

But at least not all of the pictures on HotIsraeliArmyGirls show the soldiers in states of undress.

The Israeli military has strict regulations about its soldiers not posting pictures on social media when wearing only part of their uniforms or mixed with non authorized articles of clothing. So a woman posing in her army boots and pants but no shirt and just a bra could be subject to military discipline.

But the women of the IDF can post pictures of themselves out of uniform when on their own time.

Another problem which could arise here is that these are all reposts of other people’s Instagram pictures. So the individuals in question may file complaints with Instagram.

While some women may say that this sort of thing is empowering, others would call it exploitative and just another way to denigrate women as nothing more than sex objects.
