Are “Homeland” stars Mandy Patinkin And F Murray Abraham set to kill each other in Real Life? The two Jewish stars of the hit TV series which is based on an Israeli show are reportedly feuding behind the scenes.
Patinkin has been one of the stars of Homeland since “Homeland” first went on the air. Abraham had a recurring role over a few seasons as the mysterious CIA agent Dar Adal. Then last season F. Murray Abraham’s character became the head of the CIA and the boss of Many Patinkin’s Saul Berenson who had previously been Adal’s superior. This led to on air tension and fighting.

But now, according to the New York Post’s Page Six, the two actors have also been at odds behind the scenes. This is not surprising considering the fact that Abraham is an Oscar winner from the 80s who has not really been a star at all in the last 30 years and Patinkin, while being the star of Homeland, has won no major awards.

Homeland’s new season is set to premiere in January and filming is currently under way in many locations including New York. The Post quoted anonymous sources as saying that while production continues it is, “obvious to the entire cast and crew that there is jealousy between the two, ” and that “production assistants feel like kindergarten teachers when they are on set.”

F Murray Abraham has been called an egomaniac and accused of making on set demands that none of the producers or other stars have made, The Post cites sources as saying. And Mandy Patinkin was previously forced to leave two hit shows early on because his own huge ego led to fights with both producers and directors. The first was the 90s doctors drama “Chicago Hope.” Then there was a show which centered around Patinkin as the lead, “Criminal Minds.” Mandy left the hit drama after only two seasons making the age old excuse that he wanted to spend more time with his family.
Apparently the word diva should not only apply to famous women.
Meanwhile at a Homeland panel session in New York last week Mandy Patinkin was joined by the show’s main star Claire Danes as they answered some questions about the upcoming season while avoiding giving up any spoilers.
