‘The baby is extremely healthy and is surrounded by friends and family in L.A. Anne and Adam are ecstatic to be parents.’ Their spokesperson said.

Anne had an intimate baby shower in early March with just a few close friends, including Matthew McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Anne was one of the first people to arrive. She looked relaxed and happy to be there.

‘There was a lot of chatter and laughter throughout the afternoon. Many times there was giggling and clapping because all of the ladies were having so much fun.’

Earlier last year she posted a bikini shot on Instagram showing off her bump, and saying:  “Posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter, ” she wrote. “Wishing you love, light and blessings for the year ahead!”
