Chelsea Owner Roman Abramovich to Hold Emergency Board Meeting as He Considers Sacking Jose Mourinho
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly set to hold an emergency board meeting on Wednesday to decide the future of Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
The Daily Mail reports the Portuguese tactician is under pressure at Stamford Bridge but the Russian oligarch doesn’t look set to sack Mourinho.
The 52-year-old led Chelsea to the Premier League and League Cup last season but has guided them to just 15 points from their first 16 games.
The Blues now sit in 16th place in the table and are a whopping 20-points of Leicester City who defeated them 2-1 on Monday.
Despite the champions league standing, Mourinho still retains strong support from the Chelsea fanbase but Abramovich will still hold talks with his closest advisors at the club.
