STAR WARS director JJ Abrams has dramatically cut the role of a major star at the last minute after reports that he wasn’t happy with their performance.

Lupita Nyong’o is still heading for a galaxy far, far way.

She just won’t be spending quite so much time there after reports that her time on screen has been drastically cut.

New reports coming from Hollywood reveal the humiliating news that poor Lupita may have her part chopped back considerably by the time the finished film finally hits cinemas later this month.

The 32-year-old is playing an animated charcater and the actress has apparently struggled with the motion-capture process.

So far we have only heard her voice opening the main trailers, asking Rey (Daisy Ridley) who she is.

We also hear her at the end uttering the epic prophecy: “The Force, it’s calling to you. Just let it in…”
