Europe’s top swimmers set to make splash in Israel

47 countries to take part in 18th LEN European Short Course Championships in Netanya.

Some 600 swimmers from 47 countries will make a great splash in Israel this week at the 18th LEN European Short Course Championships. The December 2-6 event is the biggest international swimming event ever held in Israel.

Big names like world champion Adam Peaty (Great Britain), world record holders Katinka Hosszu (Hungary), Paul Biedermann (Germany) and Federica Pellegrini (Italy) will seek podium glory at the Wingate Institute swimming pool.

The Israeli delegation will comprise 50 swimmers including the team’s medal potentials Amit Ivry, Gal Nevo, Guy Barnea, David Gamburg, Israeli-American Olympic swimmer Andrea Murez and Yakov Toumarkin.
