Stella McCartney sues Steve Madden for copying bag design Again, Steve Madden is caught ripping off designer bags

Steve Madden  has been accused for copyright infringement by Stella McCartney. In a 22-page lawsuit, the British designer claim against Steve for selling a bag that looks identical to her iconic chain-rimmed Falabella bag.

His Btotally bag costs $108 while Stella’s snake-effect faux leather Falabella goes up to about $825

WWD reports that the suit lists “trade dress infringement, unfair competition, deceptive trade practices, trade dress dilution, and design patent infringement”.

The document calls Steve’s design “a poorly made copy.”

Last year, Balenciaga sued Steve Madden for how the latter’s Btalia bag closely resembled the European fashion house’s iconic Motorcycle bag.
