Vanessa Selbst, top female pro poker player, to lead charity event for Urban Justice Center 

Poker legend Vanessa Selbst will host a charity poker tournament for the Urban Justice Center on Sept. 29.

Vanessa Selbst has spent the last seven years slaying her competition at the poker table. Now she wants to eradicate social injustice.Implausible? Not for the Brooklyn native who is not only the highest earning female pro poker player with $11 million in pots, but also a Yale Law graduate and social activist.

So who better to organize the Urban Justice Center’s first poker fundraiser — and to line up sharks willing to pony up the $1, 000 buy-in?
