American Pharoah owner may retire horse after Travers Stakes loss

 

The Triple Crown winner was racing in the Travers Stakes in Saratoga and you can see, Pharoah had the lead for most of the race. However, Keen Ice had other plans — coming out of nowhere in the last second to take the W. TMZ

Saturday after American Pharoah finished second in the Travers Stakes, the owner came right out with news no horse racing fan wanted to hear. Many expected American Pharoah to run in the Breeders’ Cup Classic, the first time he’d run against older horses. But based on what Ahmed Zayat said Saturday at Saratoga, that may never happen.
