Hillary Clinton and Haim Saban

Hillary Clinton is certainly popular with the big Jewish names in Hollywood. Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Haim Saban have all opened their bank accounts to the tune of $1 million apiece, cutting checks to the super PAC supporting Clinton’s Presidential run. This according to a report in The Wrap.

Actually Saban and his wife Cheryl each gave $1 million to Priorities USA Action, the super PAC supporting Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign. The PAC brought in a total of $15.6 million in the first half of 2015.

George Soros, Herb Sandler and Donald Sussman all also gave Clinton $1 million each and J.J. Abrams and his wife, Katie McGrath each ponied up $500, 000.

Other celebrity supporters of the former First Lady who have donated to her campaign include Barbra Streisand, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, Reese Witherspoon, Tobey Maguire, Magic Johnson, Dakota Fanning, Ari Emanuel, Marcy Carsey, Chris Meledandri, Adam Shankman, Gail Berman, Amy Ziering and Larry Flynt.

The beauty of the super PACs is that there is no limit on how much one can donate to them. This in contrast to the limits on campaign contributions imposed by Federal law.
