Anti-Israel Brittish MP George Galloway Loses Seat

He blamed Zionists for his defeat.

George Galloway 1

Vehemently anti-Israel British Parliament member George Galloway lost his seat in yesterday’s elections. He, of course, blamed the Jews for his defeat.

The leader of England’s Respect Party won the seat in a special by-election in 2012. The Bradford West constituency will now be represented by Labor’s Naz Shah who defeated Galloway by an embarrassing more than 2 to 1 margin. She received 19, 977 votes to his 8, 557.

A clearly bitter Galloway commented in his concession speech, “I don’t begrudge the Labor members here their moment of celebration of course. But there will be others who are already celebrating: the venal, the vile, the racists and the Zionists will all be celebrating.”

“The hyena can bounce on the lion’s grave but it can never be a lion and in any case, I’m not in my grave. As a matter of fact I’m going off now to plan the next campaign, ” he added.

In 2013 he walked out of a debate at Oxford on the Arab-Israel conflict after he heard that Israelis were participating stating, “I don’t recognize Israel and I don’t debate with Israelis.”

Galloway then made headlines last summer during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge in Gaza when he attempted to ban the sale of any and all Israel made goods in his district. He also told Israelis to stay away.

The MP said at the time, “We have declared Bradford an Israel-free zone. We don’t want any Israeli goods. We don’t want any Israeli services. We don’t want any Israeli academics, coming to the university or the college. We don’t even want any Israeli tourists to come to Bradford, if any of them had thought of doing so.”

“We reject this illegal, barbarous, savage state that calls itself Israel. And you have to do the same.”

Galloway will have trouble finding places to go if he chooses to travel the world now that he has a lot of spare time. He was banned in Egypt for allegedly inciting a riot in El Arish over that country’s participation in the Gaza blockade. He has also been denied a visa to travel to Canada because of his support for terrorist organizations like Hamas.

Do not expect Israel to issue him a visa any time soon.
