Israel is one of the world’s hubs for the study and practice of alternative medicine or Chinese medicine. This field ranges from herbal medicines, homeopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture and much more.

Kamedis says that it has won a significant market share in major markets, including Israel, Europe and the US. Kamedis products were recently awarded the European CE mark.

“We are looking to establish a strategic partnership with one of the large Chinese dermo-cosmetics players, ” said Nadav Sade, Kamedis Executive Vice President.

“Our products are supported by clinical trials and are based on the TCM approach. Hence, we are probably the only TCM Chinese based dermo-cosmetic brand that is proven clinically to treat skin disorders, ” Sade said.

Kamedis is confident that there is a great fit between its portfolio and the Chinese skin care market. In recent years, companies such as Herborist and Inoherb have introduced TCM dermo-cosmetic products, which became well known, and Kamedis believes that the market is now ready for more advanced clinically tested products.

Kamedis was established in Israel and has done all its research and development there. But its manufacturing plant is located in China.

“Chinese consumers have a long history of valuing natural medicines, so we expect to gain a significant share of this extremely fast growing market. As we are combining the strengths of western technologies with powerful TCM knowledge, ” Mr. Sade added.

Kamedis asserts that its products work to support the body’s natural healing abilities while providing soothing relief and improving skin appearance. All herbs used are specially grown and each formulation contains herbal extracts precisely measured and combined for optimum results.

The company has conducted a series of meetings with leading Chinese companies in the field and it expects to choose its Chinese strategic marketing partner within the next six months.
