On January 20th Bloomberg L.P will unveil its flagship media portal, Capital New York has reported. This will be done ahead of the upcoming annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Citing, “sources with knowledge of the plans, ” Capital New York said that this move represents Bloomberg’s, “ambitions for broader influence within the consumer media space.”

The portal is planned to bring new customers to Bloomberg’s professional service which it calls, “the most powerful and flexible platform for financial professionals who need real-time data, news and analytics to make smarter, faster, more informed business decisions. Start putting knowledge into action and make more from the markets.”
Bloomberg Media Group CEO Justin Smith said in a statement to The Huffington Post, “Bloomberg Business is going to be our flagship digital destination. It will take the creative DNA of Businessweek and combine it with the power of Bloomberg News to deliver a compelling consumer experience at web speed and rhythm.”
Bloomberg is also going to fully absorb Businessweek.com.
