Check Out Antisémitox – a Cure for Antisemitism

Antisémitox

“Antisémitox will finally heal your anti-Semitism, ” is the new campaign buzz of the European Jewish organization (OJE ) in the fight against anti-Semitism, Le Journal du Buzz reports.

Inside the box of Antisémitox you’ll find three honey candies, detox patches, and the text stating the legal penalties against people expressing anti-Semitism in public. On the back of the box you’ll find an indication of everything the new drug can cure: Insults, swearing, aggression, delusions, revisionism, insulting gestures (quenelles — the Nazi-like salute popularized by an anti-Semitic French comedian), and “fièvre du vendredi soir” (Friday night fever).

The new “drug” can be purchased online for 5 euros ($6.11).

“The honey candies contained in the packages act to immediately soften the anti-Semitic words and behavior that are the first symptoms, ” goes the OJE statement.

Le Journal du Buzz suggested all of the above still leaves open the question: are this and similar campaigns actually changing opinions? Has a single racist person change his or her mind as a result? The jury is out on this one.

The OJE said all proceeds from the campaign will go to finance “the struggle against anti-Semitism.”
