How to Make Love to An Englishman

Israeli born, self made billionaire Haim Saban’s movie company, Saban Films, is in talks to get the rights for the U.S distribution of “How to Make Love Like an Englishman.” The movie stars Pierce Brosnan, Jessica Alba and Salma Hayek.

Saban president Bill Bromileiy, who is negotiating the deal, said in a statement, “How to Make Love Like an Englishman boasts a brilliant ensemble cast with laugh-out-loud moments and a tremendous amount of heart. We’ve found the perfect comedy to diversify the Saban Films slate.”

This would mark the sixth film that Saban has acquired since it began operations.

The movie is a drama about a Cambridge poetry professor, played by Brosnan, who begins to re-evaluate his hedonistic lifestyle. The change comes after he gets a graduate student, played by Alba, pregnant. It is directed by Tom Vaughan and written by Mathew Newman.

Saban Films certainly hopes that it will do better than its last release, Tommy Lee Jones’ western The Homesman, which co-stars Hilary Swank.

Other movies the company has in the works include the Nicolas Cage crime thriller “The Trust” with Nicolas Cage who is far from a bankable commodity these days; A John Travolta project called “The Forger”; an action thriller “Tracers, ” starring Taylor Lautner and Marie Avgeropoulos; and “American Heist, ” starring Hayden Christensen, Adrien Brody, Jordana Brewster and Tory Kittles.
