Scarlett Johansson Steps Out with Twin Brother

Scarlett Johansson and twin

Scarlett Johansson, now 30 years old, made a rare public appearance with her twin brother, Hunter, at the Champions of Rockaway Hurricane Sandy Benefit in New York City. The new mother wore a sleeveless black and blue crepe dress by Proenza Schouler and showed off a newly short cropped head of hair.

But most red blooded American men probably do not care what Johansson was wearing.

Johansson hosted the fundraising event for people still suffering two years after the hurricane devastated the New York area.

“Seeing the city shaken once more [by Hurricane Sandy], it was totally totally shocking for the people that were living here. Two years later, people are feeling huge effects of this devastating loss, ” she told Us Weekly.

“Hunter and I were here in New York—we were 15 years old when September 11 happened, and that was pretty shocking, ” Johansson told Us Weekly at the benefit. “We thought the city that we grew up in was rock solid, and it shook the foundation of the city—for very different reasons obviously.”

Johansson also explained why she cut her hair saying, “I think I just got tired of wearing a ponytail all the time. I [was] always stuffing it under a wig, so I just cut it off. Everybody kept saying, ‘Don’t cut your hair! You might hate it!’ But, then I thought, Why am I letting other people tell me what to do? ”

“I can just wash and go, ” she said.”
