Kaiima Bio-Agritech, an Israel-based genetics and breeding technology company, has established a wholly owned subsidiary in the U.S. to lead its North American activities. Sharon Berberich was appointed to head these operations.
The U.S. office, located in St. Louis, Missouri, is part of Kaiima’s global mission to bring the benefits of its Enhanced Ploidy technology to key crop growing markets.

Kaiima, whose name in ancient Hebrew means sustainability, developed a non-GMO technology platform called Enhanced Ploidy. The company declares its mission to be to help feed the world and energize it by introducing new varieties of key agricultural crops, specifically designed for sustainable agriculture, and with vastly improved yields. Sharon Berberich joins Kaiima following a career in the seed industry where she held several senior positions with Dow AgroSciences LLC, Monsanto Company and The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center. Ms. Berberich’s background includes technology and product development, regulatory affairs, business development, licensing and M&A.
