Broadway star Idina Menzel is set to perform at the Macys’ Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan this year. This will be the 88th annual parade.
She will be joined by Sting, Kiss, Meghan Trainor, Quvenzhane Wallis, Renee Fleming and even the cast of Sesame Street. The special will air at 9 a.m. EST on NBC. Macy’s says more than 8, 000 people will participate in the event which will last for three hours and be hosted by the cast of the Today Show. Last year’s broadcast drew a live audience of 3.5 million people and 50 million total television viewers.

And three weeks before Thanksgiving Menzel performed at the 2014 CMA Country Christmas show on last Friday held in Nashville, Tennessee. For some reason it was held six weeks before Christmas. She performed with Jennifer Nettles, who hosted the special and is the voice of Frozen’s Queen Elsa. They sang a rendition of the “Let It Go” as well as part of “Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?” Menzel also sang “Do You Hear What I Hear?”
LeAnn Rimes also sang on the show. She Tweeted about Menzel, “Idina is wearing a Georges Chakra white dress, House of Lavande Vintage earrings, and Erickson Beamon jewels during her duet with Jennifer. She is wearing a Naeem Khan black dress and Erickson Beamon jewels in a separate performance during the show.”
The show will be broadcast on December 1st.
