Hipmunk and Yelp Venture into Hotel Searches

Hipmunk chief Adam Goldstein

Travel site Hipmunk today joined Yelp’s invite-only platform, to give Yelp users access booking hotels directly from the tens of thousands of hotel review pages across the U.S.

To date, Yelp’s other platform partners have included Open Table, Delivery.com, Eat24, and Booker. By partnering with Yelp, Hipmunk is looking to push additional sales, in a robust payoff to investors in Hipmunk’s $20 million funding round a short while ago.

Some Yelp pages now offer a “book a room” section.
