First Annual California Israel Business Summit this Week

The California Israel Chamber of Commerce will hold the first annual California Israel International Business Summit this week at the Microsoft Campus in Mountain View, California. It will be held on October 22nd and 23rd.

There is a natural alliance between startup nation and Silicon Valley. While the latter is home to some of the world’s largest already established high tech companies like Google, Israel has the reputation for being the home of the most innovative new firms that make major breakthroughs in software, apps and green technologies.

The California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is a not-for-profit, industry-supported organization that declares itself dedicated to promoting and strengthening thought leadership, business, investment, entrepreneurship, technology and trade relations between the business communities of California and Israel. It boasts a network of over 10, 000 entrepreneurs, companies, business executives, investors and service providers, providing a networking platform for joint venture programs between the two communities.

The summit, hosted together with the Israeli Economic Mission to the West Coast, describes itself as a hub for Israeli innovative companies and California-based international companies where they can explore new business opportunities and initiate cooperation. It will offer a program which will include a panel discussion on prominent topics related to Big Data, Cloud, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Mobile and New Media. Among the attendees are executive thought leaders of international corporations, VCs, Israeli and international startups.

And mid-size companies and international companies will discuss their business ventures. There will also be a VIP cocktail reception.

On October 23rd, Israeli companies will have planned visits to International corporations in the Bay Area.

“We are particularly excited to bring together so many technology leaders, dynamic entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors from Brazil, Canada, India, Israel, South Korea, the United States, and other countries onsite to share their expertise and explore potential collaboration with presenting companies, ” said Talia Cohen, Executive Director of The California Israel Chamber of Commerce.
