Busty TV star Kat Dennings and singer/musician Josh Groban have officially come out as a couple. The Hollywood power duo was spotted over the weekend together at the Carousel of Hope Ball in Los Angeles.
Dennings posted a pic showing Groban with his arm around her back on Instagram with the caption, “I ship it, ” whatever that means. The next day Groban Tweeted in response, “I just shipped my pants.”
When Groban performed at the event Dennings, according to a person quoted in People Magazine, watched him, “with clear admiration, leaping to her feet to clap and cheer loudly.”
E! News quoted a source as saying that, “They were so cute together. They were adorable on the carpet. She was whispering in his ear a lot and they seemed really happy.”
Dennings, 28, is best known as the star of the CBS hit sitcom 2 Broke Girls. Groban, 33, has had four platinum solo albums and has sold over 25 million record albums around the world.
Kat Dennings real family name is Litwack and both of her parents are Jewish. She says that she is not a religious person but that her Jewish identity is an important part of her life. Groban, however, is the son of a Jewish man who converted to Christianity when he married the musician’s mother.
Dennings, therefore, has joined the very public group of female Jewish television stars who are dating gentiles.
Sarah Silverman, who makes her Jewish identity a central part of her public persona and comedy, is currently dating the British star of the Emmy nominated program Masters of Sex Michael Sheen. She previously dated television talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
Sheen’s co-star on that TV show, Lizzy Kaplan, famously once dated Mathew Perry.
