Hundreds Attend or Crash Billionaire Sam Zell Chicago 73rd Birthday Bash

Sam Zell

Real estate mogul and billionaire Sam Zell is throwing himself a big bash this weekend to mark his 73rd birthday. He has worked hard to top his previous celebrations which have become legend.

The exact location of the event to be held somewhere in Chicago has been kept secret, even from the hundreds of invitees, to avoid gate crashers. Guests will learn where to go only at the last minute. The New York Post has revealed that guests have been provided with special black T shirts adorned with white feathers which they must wear to gain admittance to wherever it is that they are going.

Fleetwood Mac has reportedly been hired to perform. But some sources have said that it will be the Beach Boys. Either way, this is in keeping with Zell’s past tradition of having world famous acts such as Bette Midler, The Eagles, James Brown and Aretha Franklin entertain him on his big day.

Zell certainly likes to flaunt his wealth and lavishes in his status as a 1 percenter while having famously declared that people who do not succeed only have themselves to blame for not working hard enough.

As he once said, “The world is not a zero-sum game. If I succeed, it doesn’t mean that you don’t. I succeed because I am driven and I take the risks. Deal with it.”
