The recipients of this gratuitous venture were the staff members and residents of the Ventura County Rescue Mission.

Thanks to volunteers like those from the Merchant Access Group, the Ventura County Mission is able to assist men, women and children who have been affected in any way due to homelessness, unexpected job losses, spousal abuse and substance abuse in some cases. Assistance is provided in the form of soup kitchens or food assistance, emergency shelters for abused women and children, domestic violence counseling, homeless court advocacy, job placement facilities, dental and medical assistance, transitional housing services, and vocational training wherever possible.
