When you’ve made a fortune on a show about nothing, what else do you do? Accumulate cars.
Jerry Seinfeld owns 47 Porsches in his vast car collection worth $15 million. He just purchased a new one for $1 million, a 918 Porsche Super Hybrid. He described a mishap with one of his Porsches in the Hamptons, when a woman ran her BMW into his 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera. It sounded like something that would happen on one of his shows. “I was sitting on a bench having coffee with a friend. My car was parked across the street.” Then the woman backed up into his car “smashing and damaging it. We could hear the sound of metal crunching. Rare, classic, expensive, vintage metal, by the way, from across the street. A sickening sound to a car person.”

Well, nothing as of yet has happened to his new Porsche, and it might be featured in his next project, “Comedians in Cars Having Coffee, ” which pretty much sums it up. He plans to have 20 minute spots with Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, Tina Fey, Sarah Jessica Parker and others.
The question is, will Jerry Seinfeld really drink coffee in his $1 million Porsche?
