This “Dave Skylark’s Very Special VMA Special” will air on Sunday, August 17.
The show will also feature Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea, and VMA nominee Jason Derulo, all to be terrorized by the fictional tabloid TV interviewer of “Skylark Tonight.”
Franco will be Skylark and Rogen will be producer Aaron Rapoport.
In the The Interview show, Skylark and Rapoport discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of their show so they interview him as part of climbing the professional ladder. Then they’re recruited by the CIA (don’t you just hate when that happens?), to assassinate the little leader.
