Matador Network has just released a new travel guide book called 101 Places to Get F*cke*d Up Before you Die. It is written by the website’s team of self proclaimed party crashers. In it the beaches of Tel Aviv are described as the “best beach party spot on the planet.”

Tel Aviv is on a west coast so partiers can begin by enjoying the sunset over the Mediterranean. It has no fewer than sixteen different official beaches, including one reserved for religious people where men and women can bathe separately. Only one requires an entrance fee.

Most of Tel Aviv’s beach front is lined by a promenade. There is no lack of restaurants, bars and discos alongside it. Each beach area offers recliners for rent or for free when ordering from a beach side restaurant.

The individual beaches are named for either a street or hotel nearby. Hayarkon Street, which runs parallel to the Tel Aviv beachfront, is lined with high rise luxury hotels. Less expensive hotels can be found only a block away from the beach.

The book 101 Places to Get F**d Up before you die describes Tel Aviv as follows:

“Israel’s financial hub sure knows how to throw a party. Business licensing is lax here, which means there’s always a new hotspot on the scene, with new clubs sometimes literally popping up overnight. News spreads on the beach, so skip the recommendations in the guidebook and catch a few rays while chatting up some locals to find where the pulse is beating that night”.

Matador Network describes itself as an independent media company and nexus of travel culture worldwide. It launched in 2006, “with the vision of a travel site and community based not on airline reservations hotel rooms” but the real cultures, people, and places we encounter, as well as a broader global discussion of historical, political, and socioeconomic realities that inform our lives as travelers.

In the last six years Matador has won two consecutive Lowell Thomas Awards for excellence in travel journalism. It is the largest independent travel publisher on line, reaching over 2 million unique monthly visitors.

Matador uses a team on international “ambassadors” who write about the sites that they visit around the world.
