Promising young actor Zac Efron may have only recently kicked a wild party scene and sobered up, but it never interfered with his excellent taste in real estate.

Now he has listed his current pad in the Hollywood Hills to move to a larger one, putting it on the market for with an asking price of just over US$2.8 million. This price is about half a million dollars more than he paid for it in 2008, which is a modest profit only for such a lovely house. By the time a deal is done of course it may even be less.

Whatever the price, it is a lovely home, built as far back as 1947 but still in impeccable condition, and designed by Rodney Walker.

With just two bedrooms but lots of living space the property totals some 2, 400 square feet. There are heated concrete floors to keep the toes nice and cosy, in what passes for winter in California.

Some of the current furniture is a little archaic and some is just in poor taste but that is all easy to fix for a new owner. The infinity pool makes for a great conversation piece as well.

Now it seems Zac is moving to a new home, which cost him about US$4 million in the nearby Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles.

The actor has turned his life around since checking into rehab for alleged cocaine addiction last year. “He cut most everyone out of his life who were part of the party scene, ” a source recently told People Magazine.
