Elle Macpherson splits from billionaire husband Jeffrey Soffer

The Australian supermodel Elle MacPherson and billionaire husband Jeffrey Soffer have split, Page Six exclusively reported.

Soffer and MacPherson have been a couple since 2009, had a period of time apart, reunited and got married in Fiji in 2012. The father of McPherson’s teenagers, Flynn and Aurelius Cy, is Arpad Busson.

In March 2015 the couple said they are considering surrogate parenthood. According to Woman’s Day, the two wanted to have a child together, but have not been successful. After giving the possibility of adopting a pass, they have decided to go for surrogate parenting. MacPherson, then 51, said she was glad she had the foresight to have some of her eggs frozen. The surrogate mother had already been selected.

“Elle and Jeff are definitely over,” a source told Page Six, “She has left their house at Indian Creek in Miami with her kids, and is looking for her own house in Miami. He has been linked to some other women but insists they are just friends.

Jeffrey Soffer is a South Florida real estate developer, faced a $100 million suit against him for alleged caused the wrongful death of his close friend,  Lance Valdez in the helicopter accident that took place close to Great Guana Cay, in the Bahamas in November 2012. The court dismissed the lawsuit.
