While the musician has finally accepted the award, Bob Dylan has said that he has not decided yet if he will attend the formal ceremony at which it will be awarded.

So Bob Dylan has joined the ranks of movie stars like Woody Allen and George C. Scott who refused to even attend the Oscar ceremonies the years in which they were nominated, nor even formally accepted said awards.

So why should the Nobel Prize be any different? It is not even awarded by an artists peers like the Oscars and the Tony Awards. In fact, the awards are handed out by a small group of people in Sweden.
