Bob Dylan Has Really ‘Pissed Off’ The Nobel Prize People

Bob Dylan 640x360

Bob Dylan is learning the hard way that it is not smart to piss off the Swedes, especially the Nobel Prize committee.

The world was stunned to here that Dylan had been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. Music sure, but literature? And then Bob Dylan took his sweet time to even publicly acknowledge the award. Bob may be kind of eccentric, but he sure does not want to be seen as an ungrateful.

So now the Nobel people are hitting back. Per Wastberg, a member of the Nobel committee told the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter that Dylan’s behavior is “impolite and arrogant.”

According to a report in AP, Wastberg said of Dylan, “he is who he is.” The writer also said that the Nobel people will not be doing anything to reach out to Bob Dylan, who has publicly declined to make any formal acceptance of the award.

Wastberg added, “We have agreed not to lift a finger. The ball lies entirely on his half. You can speculate as much as you want but we don’t.”

So now the world waits with baited breath to see what Bob Dylan’s next move will be.
