Israel’s Delek bids for Cypriot exploration licenses oil, natgas with Cairn Energy

Israel’s Delek Group,  gas and oil exploration units Avner Oil and Gas LP and Delek Drilling LP,  have applied for for the Cypriot government license in offshore oil and gas exploration tender.

Winning such a bid would by synergistic to its operations in Israel’s Tamar and Liviatan offshore gas fields. Delek says its was submitted as part of the Capricorn Oil consortium, a unit of Cairn Energy.

Cairn Energy, is traded on the London Stock Exchange under the CNE ticker.
