Watch Trailer: Angelina on Brad’s Support During Surgery- “Knew I Wouldn’t Feel Less of a Woman”

The couple’s marriage drama By the Sea hits theatres on November 13.

Superstar couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had a joint interview to promote their forthcoming film By The Sea. The actress and filmmaker talked about her husband support during her preventative double mastectomy in 2013, and the surgery to remove her ovaries.

“I knew through the surgeries that he was on my side and that this wasn’t something where I was going to feel less of a woman, because my husband wasn’t going to let that happen, ” Angelina said, the dailymail.co.uk reports .

The couple have six children. Brad said that his role was to “support” Angelina as much as possible during that time. He said he would do “whatever’s got to be done to keep the family together, and keep the family together as long as possible is going to be done.”

Written, directed and produced by Jolie Pitt, the film, set in the 1970s, follows an American writer (Pitt) and his wife (Jolie), who are vacationing at a French seaside resort as their marriage is crumbling. When they’re not fighting like cats and dogs, the two drown their sorrows.

The teaser released by Universal Pictures on Friday. Also stars Melanie Laurent, Niels Arestrup, Melvil Poupaud and Richard Bohringer.

By the Sea world premieres and opens the AFI Fest on November 5, and hits theatres on November 13.
