64 Killed in Sinai Terror; Israel Closes Egypt Border

Islamic State terrorists strike again in Egypt.

At least 64 people were murdered yesterday in coordinated terrorist attacks against Egyptian security checkpoints in the country’s Sinai Peninsula, one Egyptian newspaper reported. The attacks were carried out by an Egyptian branch of Islamic State, the country’s officials stated.

55 Egyptian soldiers were reported wounded as well.

There were at least three suicide attacks and several Egyptian soldiers captive as well as some security vehicles.

The Egyptian military responded by assaulting terrorist targets in its territory, killing 22 terrorists and destroying three vehicles, it stated.

Islamic State affiliate Sinai Province boasted that it had attacked 15 different targets.
