El Al inaugurates Boston route

Three flights a week will run in each direction on the new route.

Starting today, El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE: ELAL) is operating three direct flights from Ben Gurion Airport to Logan International Airport in Boston using Boeing 767-300 planes. The flights take off on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 00:30 AM and land at 5:45 AM local time, after a 12-hour flight. Return flights from Boston to Tel Aviv will take off on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 9:00 AM local time, and land on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 3:05 PM. The duration of the return flight will be 11 hours. Flights to Boston in tourist class will cost $1, 400.

The first flight took off from Ben Gurion Airport last night. El Al CEO David Maimon, US Ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro, and Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman cut the ribbon and welcomed the passengers to Boston on the maiden flight. […]
