Senator Bernie Sanders is closing the gap with Democratic front runner for President in 2016 Hillary Clinton in the polls in New Hampshire. A new CNN/WMUR poll show’s the independent senator from Vermont is now only 8 points behind the former first lady in the state with America’s first primary contest.
It is not surprising that Senator Sanders is doing well in the state since it is right next to his own. Whatever the reason, if Hillary Clinton fails to get a majority win by a large margin in New Hampshire next year, it will hurt her chances of winning in the general election.

But while 75% of respondents said that they have a favorable view of Clinton, only 66% said so of Sanders. Hillary Clinton was also cited as the strongest leader of the Democratic candidates by far, getting the support of 56% of respondents. Sanders received 13%.

Meanwhile, Senator Sanders announced plans to spend the weekend campaigning all over New Hampshire.
Whether he has a chance of winning the Democratic nomination for president or not, and even whether he believes that he can or not, there is one undeniable fact. Senator Sanders is running like he believes it as a possibility.
