Google owned YoutTube is set to launch the new YouTube Gaming. At the same time, French regulators ordered Google to extend the EU policy which requires the company to delete all unflattering results from search results when a person demands it to the all of the company’s websites around the world.

Coming this summer in the U.S. and the U.K. first, the new service is described as a brand new app and website that will keep users connected to the games, players, and culture that matter to them, with videos, live streams, and “the biggest community of gamers on the web—all in one place.”

The company stated that YouTube Gaming is built to be “all about your favorite games and gamers, with more videos than anywhere else.” Google promises that from “Asteroids” to “Zelda, ” more than 25, 000 games will each have their own page, a single place for all the best videos and live streams about that title. “You’ll also find channels from a wide array of game publishers and YouTube creators, ” it said in a blog post.

Meanwhile, the French data protection regulator ordered Google to remove information from all versions of its website which people complain are defaming, not just the ones in Europe. The body threatened Google with sanctions if it did not comply with the order within 15 days.

In a statement released on Friday, the organization said, “In accordance with the [European Union Court] judgment, the CNIL considers that in order to be effective, de-listing must be carried out on all extensions of the search engine and that the service provided by Google search constitutes a single processing.”

But it remains to be seen if European bodies have the authority to make such a demand when it comes to Google’s website which are operated outside of the European Union.
