Actor George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Michael Meldman are bringing their ulta-premium tequila to Canada. Casamigos is named after Gerber and Clooney’s homes in Mexico. Translated as “house of friends, ” the three friends wanted to bring the special tequila they enjoyed together to the public.

Rande Gerber is founder of Gerber Group and Gerber Spirits, and added tequila to the list after the success of his Caliche Rum, launched in 2012. After developing Casamigos privately and drinking it for 6 years, holding many blind tastings and perfecting the formula, the official brand Casamigos was born.
The tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber Agaves grown in rich red Mexican soil. The agaves are then roasted in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours before undergoing a slow fermentation process for eighty hours, double the industry standard. The result is the smoothest tequila you will ever taste, according to George Clooney.
