Stocks Soar, NFL Sponsors Annoyed, NASA to Take Off Again, Healthcare.gov Website Worried

In spite of the Fed announcement on Wednesday, that might see a rise in interest rates, the Dow soared 100 points to finish at 17, 132, and the S&P 500 gained 15 points to finish just shy of 1, 999. The Nasdaq rose 34 points to 4, 555.76.

Endo International is making an unsolicited offer for Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, whose stock rose to $28.10. The deal values Auxilium at a 31% premium with a $1.4 billion offer of cash and stock.

The Government Accountability Office is investigation at least 20 security issues with the Healthcare.gov website which it says the Obama Administration must deal with. Officials say the potential breaches are a cause for concern, and can put the information of Americans at risk.
